About Aleph
Aleph is an AI-native platform for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), an established software category with a multi-billion market. We're solving a problem many finance teams know well: data scattered across a million systems, endless spreadsheets, and too much time spent getting numbers to line up instead of making decisions.
Founded by technical alumni from Stanford, MIT, Google, Microsoft, and Bain & Company, Aleph is backed by top VCs including Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Y Combinator, and Picus Capital. We work with leading customers like Webflow, Notion, Zapier, and Y Combinator.
The Charter
Own and lead major product surfaces across Aleph's product lines. FP&A software is an unusual full-stack challenge requiring dense, fast UIs for finance teams, robust data models across actuals and forecasts, and reliable integrations with business systems of record.
What You'll Do
- Own features end-to-end across product lines, from problem discovery with stakeholders through launch and iteration.
- Build performant, spreadsheet-grade UIs over large financial datasets.
- Design data models and APIs that support multiple product lines, including streaming results and long-running processes.
- Build AI-native product features including orchestration, tool calls, and retrieval.
- Raise the engineering bar through high-quality code, thoughtful reviews, and clear communication.
What We're Looking For
- Experience shipping highly intuitive products with extreme attention to detail.
- Full-stack building experience that supports scalable architectures beyond the immediate feature.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand problems before writing code.
Staff+ Expectations
- Adoption: Systems you build are naturally adopted by teams you don't manage.
- Strong Fundamentals: Ability to trace requests from UI to data store and make sound technical decisions at every layer.
- High Agency: Background as a founder, engineering lead, or startup builder with a resourceful mindset.
- Pragmatism: Choosing the fewest and simplest tools that actually work.
- Craft: Deep care for code quality, correctness, and maintainability.
- Communication: Clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience: History of building complex B2B products, ideally from scratch.
