About Arize
AI is rapidly transforming the world. As generative AI reshapes industries, teams need powerful ways to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their AI systems. Arize AI is the leading AI & Agent Engineering observability and evaluation platform, empowering AI engineers to ship high-performing, reliable agents and applications. From first prototype to production scale, Arize AX unifies build, test, and run in a single workspace—so teams can ship faster with confidence.
We’re a Series C company backed by top-tier investors, with over $135M in funding and a rapidly growing customer base of 150+ leading enterprises and Fortune 500 companies. Customers like Booking.com, Uber, Siemens, and PepsiCo leverage Arize to deliver AI that works.
Note: Arize is a remote-first company, but Developer Relations roles often appear at in-person events. The nature of this role requires candidates to be based in the San Francisco Bay metro area, though there isn't an in-office requirement.
The Opportunity
Arize AI is empowering AI engineers to build and deploy high-performing, reliable models. As the AI landscape shifts from traditional ML to generative AI and agentic systems, Arize ensures teams have the tools to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve AI in production.
The Role
Our developer relations team's mission is to provide the best possible developer experience for our flagship products, Arize AX and Arize Phoenix. This role owns the documentation half of that mission: keeping our docs accurate as the products change, expanding our guides and cookbooks so developers can go from first read to working code without asking for help, and ensuring Arize is documented correctly across integration partner materials and online courses.
Documentation now has two audiences reading it simultaneously: human developers and the coding agents working on their behalf. The same page must be skimmable by a human and unambiguous to an agent that will act on it. Solving this challenge is central to this role.
We are heavy users of AI-driven automation and expect you to build systems that spot stale content, catch drift between code and docs, draft updates for review, and verify that code examples run reliably.
What You'll Do
Primary Responsibilities
- Own the health of Arize's product documentation: maintain accuracy as new features ship, and rewrite content as needed.
- Build automated systems that monitor documentation quality, detect drift between docs and code, test code samples, and draft updates for human review.
- Optimize documentation for coding agents as well as humans through structured content, machine-readable indexes, and measurement of agent task success.
- Write and refresh tutorials, cookbooks, and open-source demonstration repositories that rapidly take developers from introduction to value.
- Ensure Arize is documented accurately across integration partner sites, framework maintainer repos, and educational courses.
- Create a seamless onboarding experience for new users, measured by their ability to complete their first working evaluation unassisted.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Turn community feedback into actionable product insights that shape open source and commercial product roadmaps.
- Assist marketing by providing technical source material for field marketing, SEO, and answer-engine website copy.
- Interact with our developer community at conferences, local meetups, and online via Slack and other channels.
- Serve as the first point of contact for community technical questions, directing users to appropriate teams.
- Collaborate with the Product team to prototype "spikes" for new features and product directions.
