Candidate Profile

• You understand the layers of abstraction above and below your work.
• You have production experience with several programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms. We mostly use PHP and JavaScript, and expect comfort with becoming an expert in these languages.
• You understand the balance between abstraction cost and value.
• You have experience working at scale, either on backend performance or handling complex interactions for a large, diverse user base.
• You are open and able to travel 3–4 weeks per year to meet up with teammates in person.

Compensation & Hiring Process

• Salary Range: $70,000–$170,000 USD (global range paid in local currency based on potential contribution and impact).
• Work Environment: Fully remote with an open vacation policy.
