Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Bicycle Health

Of the 10 million Americans struggling with opioid misuse, only 1 in 10 receive treatment. This is an accessibility crisis, and Bicycle Health is on a mission to solve it by bringing life-saving care to the 89% currently left behind. Through a single app, Bicycle Health combines Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) with behavioral healthcare, drug screening, therapy, and peer support.

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for defining, architecting, enhancing, and maintaining the technology that our provider and operations team use to deliver the highest quality of care possible for our patients. The systems you will be building and maintaining help us provide efficient, modern, secure, and comprehensive telehealth care.

What You Will Do

• Use your knowledge of modern, open-source technologies (such as Typescript, React, GraphQL, and Node.js) to architect, implement, test, and maintain critical product features.
• Collaborate with product managers, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff members to define and build solutions that help provide the best patient care.
• Work up and down the stack, from web interfaces to datastores and cloud infrastructure, solving problems and seeing projects through to completion.
• Operate with openness and integrity and be a role model for diverse, inclusive, low-ego collaboration.
• Hold a high bar for execution, delivering value to users reliably, repeatedly, and transparently.
• Embrace Lean Startup behaviors and look for ways to make decisions, technology, and processes simpler, faster, and more efficient.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, managers, and stakeholders across the organization.
• Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency to codebases and processes.

What We Are Looking For

• 5 or more years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services.
• Proven track record leading and owning end-to-end projects with significant web application backend deliverables.
• Experience building commercial-grade web applications with modern, open-source, cloud technologies.
• Expertise in API design and writing data persistence layers.
• Experience with iterative agile delivery of applications, CI/CD, and writing highly maintainable code.
• Experience mentoring, developing, and overseeing the work of less experienced engineers.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and physically reside within the US (no visa sponsorship).
• Consistent access to a private work environment with high-speed internet suitable for remote work and video conferencing.

Compensation & Benefits

• Target Pay Range: $142,000 – $170,000 + Equity
• Discretionary PTO + 8.5 days of additional sick time + 10 paid holidays
