Job Summary
A Product Manager owns well-defined feature work inside a product area and helps convert customer and business needs into shipped outcomes. This role partners with engineering, design, Quality Assurance, implementation, operations, and client-facing teams to deliver quality features for participant and administrator experiences across Businessolver offerings. The Product Manager I learns Businessolver’s product domains, seasonal operating constraints, and product management mechanisms while building strong execution fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Ownership: Own defined features or workflows from discovery through launch and post-launch follow-up.
- Product Artifacts: Write clear problem statements, user stories, acceptance criteria, success measures, and release notes.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering and design to evaluate solution options, edge cases, dependencies, and sequencing.
- Data-Driven Prioritization: Use customer feedback, analytics, support signals, implementation feedback, and operational data to refine priorities.
- Launch Readiness: Prepare launch readiness plans, including support needs, internal communications, training, and risk tracking.
- Post-Launch Monitoring: Monitor adoption, quality, and operational outcomes after launch and drive follow-up improvements.
- Backlog Management: Maintain roadmap and backlog hygiene for assigned work and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
- Domain Knowledge: Build working knowledge of Businessolver’s benefits administration domain, client delivery model, and compliance constraints.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, design, analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management or an adjacent role such as business analysis, operations, implementation, UX, engineering, client services, or product ownership.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Accounting, Banking, Fintech, payment systems, or related fields is highly valued.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear product artifacts.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and follow through on commitments.
- Analytical Skills: Comfort using customer feedback, metrics, and operational inputs to make local trade-offs.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and product development workflows.
- AI Tools: Ability to use approved AI-enabled tools responsibly to support research, analysis, synthesis, drafting, prioritization, and product artifact development.
- Technical Execution: Ability to balance strategic product thinking with hands-on execution. Comfortable working "in the weeds" with engineers, including troubleshooting issues, reviewing technical requirements, writing scripts for production support, and participating in implementation discussions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $82,000 - $130,000 per year (determined by education, experience, skills, and market data).
- Bonus: Eligible to participate in the quarterly bonus incentive plan.
