As a full-stack engineer at ClassDojo, you'll help build the systems that support our rapid growth. You’ll work on production code from day one in a pair programming environment, deploy often, move quickly, and have your work used by millions of students, teachers, and parents around the world every day.
What you’ll do
- Ship new and improved features: Collaborate with your team to write, debug, and optimize code for web apps, APIs, databases, and infrastructure with automated tests and monitoring.
- Deliver frequently: Push code to production and features to users incrementally and often.
- Collaborate daily: Participate in pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, and design sessions.
- Contribute to technical investments: Seek opportunities to improve common systems, tooling, build/delivery pipelines, and practices.
- Explore AI tooling: Be curious and proactive about AI-powered engineering tools to responsibly improve developer velocity and reliability.
- Support team growth: Unblock teammates, break work down incrementally, help grow other engineers, and foster psychological safety and collaboration.
What we're looking for
- 8-10+ years of professional software experience.
- Experience at companies of various sizes and stages—from well-known tech players to high-growth startups or founding experience.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful user and business outcomes.
- Experience driving technical excellence through test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Openness to evolving practices as AI-powered products and workflows develop.
- Strong communication skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Fast-paced execution and an ownership mindset.
- Passion for education and impacting children's lives.
- Located and working in the Americas timezones.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Node and/or React at scale
- Experience with MongoDB or MySQL
