Clubhouse was our first app, and we’ve been quietly growing that while building our next set of products. We have years of runway, millions of users, and find ourselves at a very interesting time, where AI is making entirely new things possible with voice.

The role

• You'll be the senior technical anchor for our data science function, shaping how we do data science at Alpha, driving cross-functional data strategy, and helping the team do its best work.
• You’ll own data strategy across the company, setting direction for our experimentation practice and bringing analytical clarity to the biggest strategic bets across all product areas.
• You’ll provide mentorship and thought partnership to our data scientists, operating with the autonomy that comes with setting direction.
• We are a remote-friendly company. This role is open to candidates across the U.S.

Who you are

• Technically deep: 7+ years of experience as a data scientist. Highly fluent in SQL and Python for analysis, influencing engineering decisions, and defining data infrastructure standards. Comfortable operating across an end-to-end data pipeline.
• Product partner mindset: Proactively identify what questions matter, size opportunities, and help product managers figure out where to place bets.
• Clear communicator: Turn messy analyses into clear recommendations, write well, and build dashboards people actually use.
• Autonomous: Thrive in turning ambiguity into a roadmap and setting the team's agenda.
• Action-oriented: Bias toward getting things done with a preference for a good-enough answer today over a perfect one in two weeks.
• Team player: Low-ego, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a diverse environment.

What you will do

• Own our experimentation framework and standards across squads.
• Drive strategic opportunity sizing and company-wide top-line metric strategy.
• Lead predictive modeling and ML work, and mentor team members.
• Create meaningful social products that connect people worldwide.
