About the Role

CodePath EDU is how universities bring CodePath into their own computer science departments. Faculty at partner universities teach CodePath courses, often for credit, using our curriculum, platform, and support. As AI changes what a computer science degree has to deliver, universities need a partner that helps their faculty teach AI-native software engineering.

The Product Lead, CodePath EDU owns the products faculty and administrators use to do that. The current vision is a comprehensive offering that helps instructors deliver the most effective computer science courses.

• Total Compensation: $200,000 - $232,000

What You'll Do

• Own the CodePath EDU product end-to-end.
• Talk with faculty and administrators every week, turning insights into a prioritized roadmap tied to adoption, retention, and growth.
• Take our LMS integrations with key higher education tools like Canvas and Blackboard to maturity.
• Use AI across your entire workflow to compress weeks into days: prototypes, requirements, evals for AI features, and analysis of usage data.
• Partner with Higher Education Partnerships on campus adoption needs and give that team product evidence for university leaders.
• Define metrics that prove product efficacy at scale (active instructors, semester retention, students reached, hours saved per instructor).
• Set a high bar for design quality so faculty can seamlessly adopt tools on the first try.

Qualifications

Required

• Proven track record of taking a product from 0-to-1 and scaling it across multiple environments (e.g., startup and large company).
• Experience shipping AI features to production, with recent hands-on experience writing and shipping code over the past year.
• Experience building software for professional users who adopted it because it saved them time.
• Demonstrated ownership beyond your direct role, taking initiative without being asked.
• Ability to operate independently without a playbook or direct oversight, setting your own roadmap and priorities.
• Strong opinions weakly held—able to adapt based on evidence and sell product strategy to engineers, faculty, and university executives.

Preferred

• Fluency with modern product management tools: product analytics, Figma, SQL, and AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Founder experience or early-employee experience at a high-growth scale-up.
• Experience with products that individual users adopted first before institutional purchase.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), LTI integrations, or edtech infrastructure.
• Experience building software that integrates into institutional workflows (e.g., universities).
