Staff Data Analyst - Cribl

About Cribl

Join the company that’s building the telemetry infrastructure for the AI era. At Cribl, we partner with IT and Security teams at many of the world’s biggest enterprises, including half of the Fortune 100, to bridge the gap between AI ambition and infrastructure reality. As the AI Platform for Telemetry, we give customers the choice, control, and flexibility to manage and analyze telemetry for both humans and agents, so they can build what’s next.

We’re one of the fastest‑growing private companies and a leading player in a massive, fast‑moving market. With a global workforce, we’re remote‑first and grounded in a simple idea: software is a people business. Cribl is the place where curious, collaborative people can do their best work, grow fast, and bring their full selves to the herd.

Why You’ll Love This Role

At Cribl, we are evolving our data organization from a centralized service desk into a dynamic, product-led enablement engine. We are seeking an Analytics Lead to act as our internal data consultant and product owner.

Operating dynamically across multiple business units (GTM, People, Finance, etc.), you will take on ambiguous, complex business challenges and design self-serve data solutions that drive action. You combine the strategic rigor of a management consultant with the technical chops of a senior data practitioner. You won’t just take requests; you will own the “Data UX” for our internal stakeholders. You will go deep with two or three named functions rather than spreading thin across all of them.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Storytelling & Audience Tailoring: Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives, tailoring insights and recommendations to different audiences to drive decisions.
  • Product Mindset: Treat analytics as a product. Learn what users need, rank work by impact, maintain a shared plan, and build analyses people can make decisions from quickly.
  • Problem Framing & Translation: Turn ambiguous questions into defined requirements, and own the analytics end-to-end.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional stakeholders, aligning analytical priorities, influencing decisions, and driving clarity on complex business challenges.
  • AI Tooling: Strategically leverage AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
  • Analytics Liaison: Serve as the data team's subject matter expert on marketing data, providing strategic guidance on campaign performance, lead tracking, attribution, and funnel analytics to support marketing decisions.
  • Distributed Teamwork: Work across multiple time zones as part of a remote-first company, with occasional duties outside standard working hours as required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in analytics, data, or a related role, including direct partnership with senior business leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of GTM commercial drivers, with hands-on experience in marketing analytics (e.g., attribution, campaign measurement, funnel analysis), and the ability to learn adjacent functions quickly.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with the modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt) and BI tools with semantic layers (e.g., Omni, Looker, Sigma). Fluency is expected, with an emphasis on AI-assisted modeling and deep business knowledge.
  • Experience building or directing predictive models (e.g., propensity, churn) and experiments, with the judgment to determine when output is actionable.
  • Proven track record of presenting analysis to executives that directly influenced decisions.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of translating complex analysis into actionable executive memos.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across stakeholders and decline requests with transparent reasoning.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $150,000 — $190,000 USD (dependent on geographic location, skills, and experience)
  • Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program (or sales commission for sales-adjacent roles)
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • Retirement & Equity: 401(k) plan and equity ownership
  • Time Off: Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)
  • Family Support: Fertility treatment benefit
