About the Role
Deepgram builds foundational voice AI and deepgram.com is where the world meets it. The site is our digital front door, showcasing our products, brand moments, and pricing information, while driving self-serve revenue.
We're hiring a Staff Web Engineer to own the site's code for the long haul as deepgram.com enters its next chapter and undergoes a full experience refresh. You'll own the repo, the architecture, the Sanity environments, and the QA bar—acting as the code-review gate for day-to-day page and content work. You will report to the Head of Brand & Awareness and closely collaborate with our Senior Web Manager, product, marketing, sales, and external development partners.
What You'll Do
- Own the codebase end to end: Lead the Next.js application (front and back end), GitHub repo, branching, CI/CD, and code review.
- Optimize and maintain Sanity CMS architecture: Manage schemas, the reusable module library, staging and production environments, and publishing workflows.
- Run the global design system: Maintain the component library, global CSS systems, Vercel platform, and spearhead AI integrations.
- Build and run the QA program: Establish a scalable staging environment that keeps marketing surfaces launch-ready at all times.
- Lead internationalization and localization (i18n/l10n): Oversee language-locale URL and routing architecture, hreflang, and localization pipelines.
- Assist in technical SEO: Maintain site architecture, redirects, and Core Web Vitals while reviewing on-page implementation from content partners.
- Ensure LLM discoverability (AEO): Design structured data, metadata, and content architecture to serve answer engines alongside human visitors.
- Technical infrastructure for experimentation: Develop and maintain mechanisms to support continuous site experimentation.
- Marketing Ops partnership: Implement forms, gated content, and attribution tracking (GTM, GA4, HubSpot).
- Cybersecurity posture: Maintain security and conduct routine audits across dependencies and third-party scripts.
- High-velocity shipping: Deliver complex site improvements and campaign pages in a fast-paced environment.
- AI-native workflow: Integrate AI agents into your daily build process and develop tools for safe marketing publishing.
What We're Looking For
- Marketing web development background: Proven track record of owning marketing websites, not just product surfaces.
- Enterprise repository ownership: Deep experience with branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and high-standard code reviews.
- Headless CMS architecture: Extensive experience with headless architectures (Next.js with Sanity strongly preferred).
- Modern React ecosystem: Expert-level knowledge of React and the modern frontend stack.
- Vercel platform: Production experience managing and deploying on Vercel.
- AI-native development: Demonstrated ability to integrate AI agents and tooling directly into development workflows.
- Technical leadership: Experience directing and reviewing work delivered by agency partners and external developers.
- High level of ownership: A proactive problem solver ready to lead architectural initiatives.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with internationalization (i18n/l10n) URL routing and multi-region infrastructure.
- Hands-on familiarity with A/B testing on high-traffic production marketing sites.
- Passion for voice AI and voice-interactive web interfaces.
