Pre-Sales Engineer - Develocity

Who You Are

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Develocity, you will be on the front lines working with customers, prospects, and partners, guiding them on optimizing engineering productivity by improving software build and testing processes. You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams to showcase the technical, business, and financial value of Develocity.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives through MEDDIC to identify, qualify, and develop enterprise opportunities.
• Conduct customer discovery, deliver compelling software demos, solution presentations, and PoCs showcasing Develocity’s value.
• Bring structured customer feedback to Product Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to shape the roadmap.
• Up to ~35% travel to customer sites and events.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Consulting, or a combination of these, selling to enterprise environments.
• A “Product Journey" and “Customer Journey" mindset with a deep desire to deploy impactful solutions.
• Familiarity and technical understanding of:
  • Observability tooling e.g. Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace
  • Build tools e.g. Maven, Gradle, Android, Bazel, npm, Python
  • CI/CD tooling e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD
  • Artifact repositories e.g. Artifactory, Nexus
  • Software Supply Chain Security
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and/or previous experience working as a software engineer or DevOps engineer.
• Experience with MEDDIC or MEDDPICC.
• Pre-sales experience with developer tools, observability, or other SaaS products.
• Hands-on experience with Develocity and Agentic AI tools in your daily workflow.
