The Role

Docker is launching a Professional Services organization to accelerate customer success and drive enterprise adoption for agentic workloads. As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in building and scaling this function. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our largest strategic partners and enterprise customers, shaping service strategy and driving cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

Build and Scale the Professional Services Practice

• Develop and codify repeatable reference architecture patterns (self-hosted, air-gapped, MCP/AI agent environments, IDP integrations).
• Translate architectures into technical collateral, SOW templates, and success patterns.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and revenue teams to integrate services into GTM motions.
• Support Partnerships & Alliances in enabling technical integration partners and system integrators.

Drive Strategic Customer Outcomes

• Lead technical discovery and architecture engagements for enterprise customers.
• Architect self-hosted Docker deployments within air-gapped, regulated, and complex environments.
• Guide customers through the implementation of agentic AI toolchains, including MCP server/client architecture and orchestration.
• Position Docker as a strategic partner, influencing long-term technology adoption.

Enable Cross-Functional Success

• Drive alignment across stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
• Translate field insights (integration patterns, friction points, observability gaps) into product and services strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years as a Professional Services Solution Architect or Technical Consultant at a SaaS/infrastructure company.
• Technical Expertise: Deep experience with self-hosted/air-gapped deployments, Kubernetes, and compliance-driven infrastructure.
• Identity & Security: Strong knowledge of IDP integrations (Okta, Azure AD, OIDC, SAML) and supply chain security (SBOM, image signing, vulnerability management).
• AI/ML: Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLM deployment, and agentic AI architectures.
• Soft Skills: Excellent facilitation and executive-level stakeholder management skills.
