About The Position

As the Sr. Director & Head of Architecture at G-P, you will be the visionary leader responsible for defining and executing the long-term technical strategy for our global products and AI platforms while influencing technical decisions across the company. This is a high-impact, executive-level role that bridges the gap between complex engineering execution and high-level business objectives. You will oversee the evolution of our cloud-native ecosystem, ensuring our architecture is scalable, secure, and infused with cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities.

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team of Architects, working in lockstep with Product Management and Engineering to harmonize technology decisions and drive market-leading customer experiences.

What You Will Do

• Strategic Technical Leadership: Define and guide the execution of a target-state, AI-native architecture supporting core software services and advanced AI Agentic behaviors.
• Architectural Governance: Establish global standards for architectural consistency, maximizing component reuse and aligning with the technology roadmap.
• AI-First Thinking: Oversee the architectural design of complex AI systems, AI enablement strategies, data engineering, and governance controls.
• Customer Centricity: Understand customer and business needs to design strategies that foster platform success.
• Team Management & Mentorship: Lead, scale, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of architects, fostering engineering excellence and continuous learning.
• Security & Compliance: Establish standards and governance mechanisms for platform and infrastructure security to mitigate breaches and maintain compliance.
• Technical Trade-offs: Guide technical teams and business stakeholders in evaluating complex technical trade-offs based on business impact.
• Innovation & Research: Serve as the sounding board for new technologies, third-party integrations, and open-source solutions.
• Reliability & Performance: Ensure platform and infrastructure architecture achieves high reliability, low latency, and minimal downtime.
• Culture Builder: Cultivate a culture of innovation, high standards, and technical excellence across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture building platforms and products, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or directorial capacity managing architecture teams.
• Cloud Expertise: Proven track record of designing and deploying distributed, cloud-native architectures (especially AWS).
• AI-First Strategies: Experience architecting and deploying AI-native products and technologies.
• Strategic Communication: Demonstrated ability to gain buy-in for large-scale technical shifts from executive leadership to engineering teams.
• Change Management: Experience leading architectural transformations in rapidly growing or unstructured environments.
• Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze technology decisions through the lens of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and ROI.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: €160,800 - €201,000 gross per year
