We are looking for a Manager of Solutions Engineering for Enterprise to lead and scale a team of high-performing Solution Engineers on the West Coast, working alongside our sales and customer experience leadership.
What You'll Be Doing
- Attract, recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of presales SEs from diverse backgrounds.
- Adopt a player/coach mentality, balancing field responsibilities and executive sponsorship for key accounts with team leadership.
- Partner with Sales leadership on top-of-funnel programs, marketing initiatives, and community events.
- Define strategies for enterprise customer adoption of Grafana technologies.
- Ensure customer requirements are met by partnering with Product Management and Engineering.
- Own and report on team cadence during software evaluations, discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and technical validations (POVs and Mutual Account Plans).
- Build pipeline for new logo targets in partnership with sales leaders.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Located on the West Coast
- 5+ years in the high-tech industry in roles such as Developer, Sales Engineer/Architect, or Manager
- Direct experience mentoring, developing talent, and managing performance over time
- Experience in Open Source selling or Cloud-first/Product-led sales GTM motions
- Experience implementing formal sales methodologies (Command of the Message, MEDDPICC)
- Direct experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products
- Background in DevOps (IaC, CI/CD, GitHub Actions) is a plus
- Proven ability to own a book of business and exceed quarterly targets
