Senior Fullstack Engineer - HTTPie

We’re looking for a talented Fullstack Software Engineer to help us build high-quality features across the platform: HTTPie Cloud, HTTPie for Web & Desktop, HTTPie for Terminal, our docs/website, and more.

What You’ll Do

• Build user-facing features with a focus on simplicity and top-notch user experience.
• Work across the stack, from database models to API endpoints and UI components.
• Improve our real-time data synchronization protocol.
• Add teams & collaboration features across the platform.
• Add support for user data version history and version control capabilities.
• Work on API testing automation features and scripting capabilities in the product.
• Add support for various formats like OpenAPI, and import/export mechanisms.
• Integrate parts of the platform to create delightful and consistent overall DX/UX.
• Add analytics, monitoring, and alerts to our service.

Tech Stack

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, TailwindCSS, Electron, WebSocket
• Backend: Python, Terraform, AWS, Amazon Aurora, AWS Lambda, Django
• Tools: Vercel, GitHub, Linear, Slack, Notion, Figma, JetBrains IDEs

Qualifications

• 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with building React single-page apps.
• Experience with building Python backends.
• Solid understanding of HTTP and modern APIs.
• Solid understanding of modern coding, testing, debugging, and automation techniques.
• Passion for developer tools and a sense for what makes them amazing.
• Passion for simplicity, delightful user experience, and an eye for design.
• Good sense for when to choose a robust vs. minimal solution to move fast.
• Ability to comfortably navigate the ladder of abstraction.
• Strong communication skills, especially in writing.
• Eagerness to learn and share.
