As a QA engineer, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the reliability and quality of software applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify testing requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, and deploy automated testing solutions.
What you’ll do
- Automate E2E, UI, and API tests for a microservice-based web platform (Java, Selenide, Selenoid, Cucumber, REST Assured).
- Perform functional testing, design test cases based on user stories, and verify features across UI, API, and database.
- Test integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot CRM.
- Analyze nightly regression results, investigate failures, identify root causes, fix broken tests, improve test stability, and report defects.
- Support the release process by conducting regression testing and validating critical functionality.
- Maintain and improve the test automation framework and CI pipelines (GitLab CI).
- Use AI tools (Claude) to streamline routine QA tasks.
Experience
- 3+ years of test automation experience for web applications, covering both UI and API.
- Solid Java skills and hands-on experience with Selenide or Selenium.
- Experience testing REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL).
- Experience testing microservice-based applications.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- The ability to troubleshoot automation issues on your own and keep test suites stable.
Good to have
- Experience with Cucumber / BDD.
- Hands-on use of AI assistants in QA work (our team uses Claude).
- Experience with Salesforce or HubSpot CRM, including APIs and integrations.
- Experience with Google BigQuery.
- Experience with UI performance testing (page load metrics), which we’re starting to introduce.
Skills
- Self-organization: You set your own priorities, flag risks early, and meet deadlines without close supervision.
- Analytical thinking: You look for root causes, not just symptoms, and you rely on data to make decisions.
- Cross-functional collaboration: You work closely with engineering and product teams, share quality risks clearly, and speak up when quality is at stake.
- Curiosity: You want to understand how the product works and why, not just what to test.
- English: Intermediate level is a plus.
