The Role

We are looking for a Staff/Lead-level engineer to join our Python Chapter. You will own backend systems, interface with ML models, and shape our technical architecture and culture. You will join one of our three core teams:

• Maker Team: Building our automation engine from scratch.
• Miner Team: Scaling ML-driven data labeling and segmentation.
• Data Intelligence Team: Managing ML-enriched data pipelines and privacy.

What You Will Do

• Write resilient, robust Python applications within a service architecture.
• Mentor engineers to improve code quality, intuition, and testability.
• Develop observability for ML and GenAI/LLM integrations using the Grafana Stack.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionize models.
• Manage incidents and optimize performance (CPU, memory, GPU).
• Drive hiring, onboarding, and project management as we scale.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with previous Lead/Staff/Principal responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend engineering.
• Deep experience with async/concurrent programming.
• Proven track record of owning projects from architecture to deployment and monitoring.
• Strong skills in maintainable testing, observability, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
