Nearly 3,000 brands around the world use Modash tools to run their influencer marketing programs. We’re hiring a VP of Marketing to help us scale this early traction.
We’re working to help every creator earn a living. We do that by making influencer partnerships so effective that marketers move more of their budget to creators. Our tools help brands discover, partner with, and pay creators: from finding the right people to managing relationships, measuring campaigns, and running affiliate programs.
We need someone context-driven who knows what it looks like to lead a great team. We have built a strong bastion of brand love and a world-class organic content machine. If you’re hoping for a place where you can deploy an existing framework without painstakingly sifting through existing business context, this is not the role for you.
Why We’re Hiring
In the last few years, Modash has become among the best-known influencer marketing tools due to a strong foundation across SEO/AEO, content programs, creator partnerships, virtual events, product marketing, and more.
We’ve grown to the point where that team needs a leader who sets direction, not another pair of hands. We have the team and the budget.
We need someone who:
- Decides where to allocate resources.
- Ensures our people are working on the right things.
- Defines how marketing collaborates with other teams.
- Figures out what is needed from marketing for the next stage of our growth.
- Has enough taste to separate “good” from “truly great”.
How Marketing is Set Up
Modash has two products: Our influencer marketing Platform and our API. They’re at very different stages and need very different marketing. This role leads marketing for the Platform. API marketing is run separately today, and how the two fit together over time is something we’ll work out as we grow.
What You’ll Actually Own
- Lead Platform marketing and the team behind it.
You’ll set targets, build the plan, measure against it, and decide where we invest, what waits, and what we stop. You’ll lead 10–15 people across several teams, mostly through their leads: putting the right people in the right roles, hiring where we have gaps, and growing current leads. When needed, you jump in and do the work yourself. - Make the Modash story land.
You’ll pick the stories that matter and tell them in a way that spreads organically. You’ll set the bar for editorial and creative work, making product marketing something Product and Sales rely on all year long. - Help shape where Modash goes next.
We want to grow account value and retention by moving upmarket and cross-selling more of our products to existing customers. You will partner directly with the CEO to shape this strategy.
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
- Running 1-on-1s with marketing team leads to ensure direction is clear, solve issues, and level up teams.
- Working with the CEO and Finance on next year’s account value goal: what it takes to win larger customers and what investments are required.
- Reviewing existing teams and initiatives to identify who is spread thin, what to double down on, and which initiatives to stop.
- Coordinating with Sales on how we qualify and handle inbound demo requests.
Requirements & Experience
- Proven Product Marketing & Creative Work: Track record of making product stories resonate and delivering measurable impact.
- Scale Experience: Played a key marketing leadership role helping a company grow from roughly $20M toward $100M in revenue.
- Leadership: Experience managing several marketing teams and developing team leads.
- Upmarket/Growth Strategy: Repositioned a product for larger customers or grown account value through cross-selling.
- Multi-Channel Expertise: Deep experience in more than one marketing channel (e.g., product marketing, ads, SEO/AEO, creator partnerships).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: History of building lasting alignment across Marketing, Product, and Sales.
- Communication: Clear writing, sound decision-making, and the ability to bring people along.
