As a fully remote company (even before COVID!), we welcome applicants from almost anywhere. Our team collaborates synchronously mostly from 9 AM – 2 PT and embraces asynchronous work to stay connected across time zones.

The Role

We are always looking for talented Engineers to join our team as we continue to grow and scale and have several pods that will be hiring later this year. Here's some additional information on our Engineering pods/focus areas at Monarch:

• Core Product: Responsible for building and improving core features like budgeting, goals, and reports across web and mobile platforms.
• Growth: Works on product experiences to help Monarch reach more users and guide them through financial success via rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and onboarding optimization.
• Aggregation: Owns the process that allows users to see their whole financial life in one view, handling data connectivity securely and accurately.
• Infra/Platform: Handles infrastructure and developer tooling to help the rest of the team ship faster and more reliably.
• Security: Improves overall security posture and helps individual teams maintain a focus on security and privacy.

What You'll Bring

• A "product-centric" mindset and pride in building something people love.
• Experience with (or interest in learning) our tech stack:
  • Front End: React/TypeScript, React Native, Apollo (GraphQL) for API requests
  • Back-End: Python/Django, GraphQL/Graphene, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Docker, ECS, EC2
  • CI/CD: CircleCI
• Comfort working across the entire stack when needed regardless of your primary expertise.
• Experience working collaboratively with other functions in a remote environment.
• Comfort working with high autonomy and ambiguity.
• A passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring, and writing good documentation.
