Role Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Associate to support Newton's compliance function and foster a strong culture of regulatory adherence across the organization. You will assist the compliance team in ensuring the business operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring company compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Support periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify potential issues and gaps.
• Maintain organized compliance records, including policies, procedures, and reports.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating compliance documentation.
• Support internal compliance audits, control testing, and risk assessments by gathering information and documenting findings.
• Help investigate and document compliance incidents, breaches, and identified deficiencies.
• Maintain compliance tracking logs and assist with tracking corrective actions, risk mitigation measures, and periodic reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
• Completed CIRE/CSC, Supervisory, and/or trader exams through CIRO/CSI.
• Strong working knowledge of financial regulations and industry best practices.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a distributed team.
• High degree of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and an eagerness to expand compliance and risk management knowledge.
