Position Summary & What You'll Do

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build the customer marketing platform used by top Shopify brands. You'll work across our Vue, Angular, and React codebases, from embeddable widgets shoppers see on storefronts to merchant admin tools brands use every day, on a fully remote team using TypeScript end-to-end on a modern AWS serverless architecture.

• Build and ship frontend features across three distinct surfaces: Vue-based embeddable widgets and shopper-facing components, Angular-based merchant admin tools, and React-based Shopify integrations.
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions in close collaboration with product, design, and backend engineering.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable TypeScript, and hold your own code and your team's to a high standard.
• Break down ambiguous, complex problems into shippable, well-scoped tasks, then estimate, plan, and deliver against them.
• Take ownership of features end to end: design, build, test, deploy, and monitor in production.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to how we evolve our frontend architecture as the platform scales.
• Mentor other engineers, review code thoughtfully, and help raise the technical bar across the team.
• Collaborate with backend engineers working across our serverless AWS stack to design clean, performant APIs and data flows.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of professional experience building production frontend applications (Software Engineer or equivalent).
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern component framework (Vue, Angular, or React) and the ability to ramp quickly across the other two.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• A track record of shipping high-quality, tested, maintainable frontend code in a team environment.
• Comfort working across a full serverless stack (APIs, event-driven services, cloud infrastructure) even if your primary focus is frontend.
• Strong written and verbal communication: you'll work async with a fully distributed, global team.
• The ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions with appropriate guidance, and know when to ask for help.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, SQS/SNS).
• Experience building embeddable widgets or SDKs that run on third-party sites (e.g., Shopify storefronts).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Prior experience at an e-commerce, martech, or Shopify-ecosystem company.
