Ondo Finance is on a mission to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets, including tokenized stocks and ETFs. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

About the Role

Our Front-End / Web team builds web applications and APIs enabling users to access and interact with complex investment products across multiple blockchains (including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana, Sui, and Aptos). The team works across a wide breadth of Ondo products, including onboarding, mint/redeem experiences for USDY & OUSG (Yield Assets), tokenized stocks and ETFs (Ondo Global Markets), portfolio experiences, bridges, and Flux Finance.

You will join a small but fast-growing team with a wide breadth of responsibilities, working across the stack to execute on new features and products while maintaining high technical excellence. You will help build at the forefront of Web2 and Web3 experiences to usher in the next wave of on-chain capital.

Responsibilities

• User Interfaces: Design and implement user-friendly interfaces that provide seamless and secure user experiences for interacting with on- and off-chain data.
• Web3 Integration: Integrate and develop Web3 libraries and frameworks to enable interaction with blockchain networks (wallet connections, smart contract interactions, and transaction management).
• Performance Optimization: Optimize front-end code for performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions while considering the unique challenges of blockchain data retrieval.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate project requirements into technical specifications.
• API Development: Define and build API endpoints and services required for front-end functionality, ensuring efficient communication between front-end and back-end components.
• System Integration: Implement external system integrations that support our web applications and operations team.
• Tool Evaluation: Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries, tools, and frameworks to streamline development and improve product quality.
• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in Web3 and blockchain technologies, proactively suggesting improvements.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of software engineering experience contributing to production codebases in Node.js, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Web3 Interest: 1+ years of experience or demonstrated interest (e.g., side projects) in developing decentralized applications.
• Location: Based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or significant coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing needs.
• Core Knowledge: Solid fundamental knowledge of web application, API, and Web3 development.
• Continuous Learning: Dedication to continuous learning and best practices across the entire technology stack.
• Communication: Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Generalist Mindset: Engineering generalist excited to learn new things and share knowledge.
• Crypto Interest: Demonstrated interest in crypto (building, investing, yield farming, minting, voting, etc.).

Nice to Haves

• 1+ years of experience building crypto-native / Web3 projects deployed on an EVM mainnet (especially using React, Node, and TypeScript).
• Experience in DeFi, Solidity, TheGraph, serverless, cloud infrastructure (AWS), testing, or security.
