The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join an AI-forward accounting team, reporting directly to the Controller. Youβll have the ability to showcase your strong background in accounting and own a large part of the accounting functions with a focus on AI enablement. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and has experience working within a varied accounting tech stack, such as Rillet, Ramp, and Maxio.
What You'll Do
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations during monthly close
- Record transactions in Rillet
- Manage Ramp for AP, corporate cards, and employee reimbursements
- Manage revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Use AI to improve processes, gain efficiency, and analyze data
- Document processes for key accounting functions
- Bill customers and manage subscriptions in the billing system (Maxio)
- Assist with customer collections
- Respond to information requests and assist with audits, as needed
- Assist with other projects, as needed
What You'll Need
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- SaaS industry experience is required (ideally at a high-growth startup)
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas)
- Working knowledge of CRM software platforms like Salesforce & DealHub is a plus
- Proven track record of using AI in your daily work
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and organized approach
- Ability to meet processing and reporting deadlines
- Strong priority management skills
- Experience working with Subscription Billing Software
