Role Overview

We’re looking for a Sr Backend Engineer – Platform. The platform team at SigNoz handles infrastructure, billing tech, automations, auth, RBAC, caching, SaaS scalability, staging environments, and more. The team is responsible for handling petabyte-scale data with high performance.

What you’ll work on

• BillingOps, RevenueOps, caching, agent collectors, and SaaS operations
• Create a marketplace of integrations: patterns, templates, examples, and tooling to help the community plug SigNoz into their stack
• Design and implement APIs, services, and core backend components in Go
• Build and optimize SaaS auto-scalability
• Make the ingest path robust to traffic bursts while maintaining data freshness

What will make you successful

• 5–8 years of experience in Go (Golang)
• Strong understanding of concurrency, locks, channels, and performance optimization in Go
• Experience building distributed systems while writing clean, scalable code
• Passion for open source, ideally with prior contributions to OSS projects of any size
• Ability to drive initiatives end-to-end: from problem discovery to design, implementation, and rollout
• Comfort working in a high-ownership, fast-moving, remote-first environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear technical documentation and articulate trade-offs

Nice-to-haves

• Past experience in platform engineering teams of Series B+ startups
• Experience in observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, Kafka, or Kubernetes
• Prior experience as (or interest in becoming) a founder in B2B/devtools
