Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.

The Solutions Engineering team at Mysten Labs will work closely with our world-class engineers on smart contract development that will help blockchain developers and business partners across the world, to build unique smart contracts and user interface experiences (such as payment wallets, blockchain games, decentralized social networks etc). 

This is a unique opportunity to participate on open-source projects with global impact, top-quality software development by interacting with leader firms in the blockchain, marketplace, finance and gaming space, and finally working in one of the innovative teams in the world, funded by some of the biggest venture capitals and funds in the world.

What You’ll Do:

• Work directly with the Head of Engineering to support prospective and existing partners in the APAC region adopt the Sui blockchain.

• Help create the business structure needed for Mysten Labs to operate and hire in South Korea.

• Recruit and hire engineers to support our partners in the region, starting in Korea but potentially branching out to Taiwan and/or Singapore.

• Work closely with the Mysten Labs Partnerships team as they pursue engagements in the region.

• Travel to prospective and existing partners in the APAC region to meet face-to-face and help onboard external partners onto the Sui blockchain.

• Be hands on in planning and driving proof of concepts and starter code developed by the engineers for use by partners in both the pre- and post-sale phase.

• Field partner questions, raise partner issues to the core development teams, and provide suggestions for improvements where warranted.

• Work closely with the EU-based Solutions Engineering team to share knowledge and technology.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Fluent in both Korean and English.

• 3+ years managing people.

• 3+ years managing software engineering projects.

• Experienced building and running high-quality engineering teams.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with high-powered external partners.

• Ability to prioritize a large set of incoming work streams and manage partner expectations accordingly.

• Capable of writing programs in one or more of the following languages: Typescript/Javascript, Rust, C#, C++.

Nice to Haves:

• Conversant in Mandarin.

• Consulting experience.

• Experience building web front-ends.

• Experience building dApps.
