The Role

You will join "Crimson," one of Spotted Zebra's AI Augmented Delivery (AAD) Crews—a lean team consisting of a Product Manager and two Product Engineers. In this individual contributor lead role, you will partner directly with your PM to define and shape features, then own the end-to-end build-out from architecture to production.

This role combines technical leadership, product intuition, and execution without formal people management overhead.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Collaboration: Partner closely with your Product Manager to define, scope, and prioritize features, bringing customer context and technical intuition to conversations.
• Full-Stack Ownership: Take features from architecture design through to production across the full stack (frontend, backend, and APIs).
• AI Tooling Integration: Utilize AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to accelerate workflow and operate effectively within a lean team.
• Clean Code & Architecture: Write and maintain clean, well-considered TypeScript across frontend (React) and backend (NestJS), connected via GraphQL APIs.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with subject matter experts in Data Science, Design, QA, and DevOps as needed.
• Engineering Culture: Contribute to a high-speed, low-bureaucracy delivery culture focused on shipping meaningful impact.

Key Requirements

Must-Haves

• Proven full-stack engineering experience with strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• A product-oriented mindset with care for the overall user experience and product goals.
• Demonstrated track record of taking complex features from concept to production independently.
• Practical experience integrating AI developer tools into your daily workflow.
• Strong communication skills and self-management ability in a high-trust, fast-moving setting.
• Background working in a startup, early-stage, or B2B SaaS environment.
• Enthusiasm for shaping AI-augmented delivery models in practice.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, Apollo, or similar technologies.
• Prior experience in the HR tech space.
