✨ About This Opportunity

Bolt is a product made of language. People describe what they want in words, an agent builds it, and they judge the result without ever reading the code. That makes our words load-bearing in a way they aren't in most products.

You'll be the first content designer at Bolt, and the job has two halves:

1. Own content as a discipline. Define the standard: the voice, the patterns, the vocabulary, and the reasons behind them. Raise the bar on everyone else's words.
2. Ship content-led features end to end, on your own. Feature onboarding, in-product education, and moments where a value prop has to land. You're the design DRI, working in Figma or with agentic tools through to shipped.

🛠️ How You'll Contribute

• Set the standard and make it the default: Define Bolt's product voice, terminology, and patterns for prompts, errors, empty states, permissions, billing, and settings.
• Raise the bar on everyones' words: Review writing from across the company and give feedback that improves judgment.
• Own the content strategy: Bring a point of view on what we should say, when, and how much.
• Ship content-led features end to end: Scope, design in Figma or build with agentic tools, and drive features through implementation without a product design partner.
• Work across the whole lifecycle: Partner with Marketing and CX so pre-product, in-product, and support experiences reinforce each other.

💡 Qualifications

• A portfolio of product content work with at least two examples showing the problem, reasoning, what was rejected, and what changed after shipping.
• End-to-end execution: Ability to take a content-led feature from problem to shipped without a product designer (Figma or agentic tools).
• System-building experience: Built a standard, system, or set of guidelines that others actually used.
• Constructive feedback skills: Ability to give feedback that lands well with peers and non-designers.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
