Role

We are hiring a Senior Developer Relations Engineer to amplify our public work and deepen our relationships with the security practitioners, researchers, maintainers, and open-source communities we serve. You will report to the Head of Go-to-Market and work closely with our engineering practices and GTM teams.

This role gives our open-source tools, research, and publications a dedicated advocate. You will take what we build and learn internally, extend its reach, help decide what gets published, and put tools in the hands of people who will use them. You carry no quota and no account list.

What You'll Do

• Grow relationships: Build connections across the security community, contribute alongside maintainers and researchers, and become a trusted voice.
• Own event presence: Attend and speak at key conferences and cybersecurity meetups.
• Support open source: Facilitate technical office hours, help contributions land upstream, and maintain strong community ties.
• Translate research: Work with Marketing and Technical Editing on advisories and co-authored writeups, and optimize tools and plugins for adoption.
• Publish technical content: Write deep dives, tutorials, and technical write-ups that withstand scrutiny from working security engineers.
• Accelerate CFP motion: Partner with Marketing to identify speaking opportunities and help engineers prepare and deliver talks.
• Test and feedback: Run our published work against unfamiliar code and give direct feedback to engineering teams.
• Improve adoption: Ship run-ready examples, integrations, onboarding flows, and documentation to lower the barrier to entry.
• Attract contributors: Bring in external contributors and help them make lasting impacts on our projects.
• Feedback loop: Route practitioner pain points, research gaps, and emerging ecosystems back into the firm.

What You'll Bring

• Software people actually use: Proven experience building tools, libraries, integrations, skills, or agents that do real work in the world.
• Security depth: 7+ years of hands-on security experience (published research, CVEs, advisories).
• AI-native in practice: Experience building with agentic tooling, skills, agents, MCP servers, harnesses, and evals.
• Public body of work: A visible track record of talks, posts, upstream contributions, research, or documentation.
• Community credibility: Deep understanding of security communities and how they operate.
• Rigorous writing and speaking: Ability to communicate technical concepts to a skeptical audience of practitioners.
• Ownership under ambiguity: Capacity to independently decide what matters and defend the choice to engineers and leadership.
