Headquartered in Boston, MA, we are expanding our remote teams globally.

What Will You Do?

• Assess the needs of agile teams, hiring and onboarding new team members as required within predefined budgets.
• Motivate team members to deliver their best work in a healthy, sustainable environment.
• Provide people management for 6 to 12 software engineers: conduct performance reviews, coach, and mentor engineers to support their growth.
• Drive the delivery of high-quality software in a regulated environment, aligned with quarterly team plans.
• Protect engineering teams from disturbances while prioritizing critical issues.
• Facilitate quarterly planning discussions between Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Product and Customer Operations, to ensure successful product delivery.
• Build a deep understanding of Velsera’s products from business, customer, and technical perspectives.
• Report on development status, quality, operations, and system performance to management using key metrics.
• Ensure agile software development methodologies are implemented effectively and suggest cross-team process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the software development industry.
• Strong people management skills with a proven track record of inspiring and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in software engineering.
• Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical partners.
• Servant-leader mindset with strong problem-solving skills to unblock people and processes.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management.
• Excellent prioritization, organizational, and presentation skills (oral and written).
• Experience developing software in a regulated environment is a plus.
