The Role

We are searching for an experienced trading operations manager with automated trading and middle/back office experience. In this role, you will:

• Lead our US spot exchange operations (Alpaca Crypto LLC)
• Lead our Bahamas spot and derivatives exchange operations (AlpacaX Crypto Limited)
• Build and maintain our internal trading desk

What You Get To Do

You will build and manage a globally distributed team of trade ops associates providing 24/5 service coverage. You and your team will:

• Directly engage with our customers, providing a world-class service.
• Review, identify, and resolve trade differences.
• Process trade corrections and cancellations.
• Perform inventory account reconciliation.
• Provide input into new procedures and processes as well as revisions to existing operations procedures and processes.
• Manage our trading desk (internal market maker) and work with engineering to build and monitor trading systems performing automated hedging strategies.
• Manage our global fiat banking relationships.
• Maintain relationships with liquidity providers, token projects, and all our vendors.
• Assist with financial and regulatory audits.
• Work closely with engineering to bring industry-leading crypto products to market.

Who You Are (Must-Haves)

• Experienced running middle/back office trade operations for a brokerage or crypto exchange.
• Built and managed a globally distributed customer service focused team providing world-class 24/5 service coverage.
• Experience trading crypto professionally.
• Experience in US crypto regulations.

Nice-To-Haves

• Quantitative research experience or experience previously running a trading desk.
• Entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder or founding team member of a startup.
• Experience operating within a SOC 1/2 Type 2 certified environment.
