Business Development Representative, Pressable - Automattic

About the Role

Pressable, part of the Automattic family, is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive our early-stage sales process. You will handle inbound leads, qualify prospects, and set meetings for our senior sales team. This role integrates AI tools to enhance research, discovery, and documentation while maintaining a human-centric approach to relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Lead Management: Qualify inbound inquiries and identify potential opportunities.
• Prospect Engagement: Conduct discovery calls, emails, and chats to generate interest in Pressable’s hosting solutions.
• Pipeline Generation: Meet or exceed monthly qualified meeting and pipeline targets.
• CRM Excellence: Maintain accurate lead data and track interactions in our CRM.
• AI-Assisted Workflow: Utilize AI for prospect research, call preparation, follow-up drafting, and deal summarization.
• Collaboration: Partner with the senior sales team for seamless lead handoffs and account expansion efforts.
• Feedback Loop: Provide structured insights from AI tools to improve sales playbooks and product feedback.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a BDR/JDR or similar role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Experience using AI tools for professional research, writing, or workflow efficiency.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs with human judgment.
• Familiarity with WordPress and managed hosting is a plus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
