- Evaluate technical options, make clear recommendations, and iterate based on team feedback.
- Operate with a quality-first mindset and establish reliable automated testing patterns.
- Make data-driven decisions by understanding production impact prior to deployment.
Background and Skills Required
- 3–5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in a high-availability SaaS environment.
- Strong programming experience in Golang or Java; polyglot experience across multiple languages is highly valued.
- Professional experience shipping frontend features in a modern JavaScript framework using TypeScript (comfortable owning the UI layer of full-stack features).
- Experience building production applications in cloud environments (AWS) with a focus on security best practices.
- Familiarity with scaling microservice architectures, event ingestion pipelines, WebSockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a distributed, cross-functional team.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing desktop or cross-platform applications.
- Experience with software running directly on endpoints (agents, installers, system services on macOS, Windows, or Linux).
- Experience writing automated end-to-end test suites (Python, Playwright, or similar).
