
IT Security Administrator
Bitwarden is seeking an IT Security Administrator to join their remote-first team. As a trusted identity security leader, Bitwarden empowers millions worldwide to securely manage and share sensitive information. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects and planning within a highly active Security and IT team.
This is an all-remote position, with a preference for candidates within the U.S. Eastern time zone. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Security and IT related Technical Service Desk tickets.
- Serve as the first point of contact for user support, including investigation, resolution, and referral.
- Support access control changes, onboarding automation (SCIM), and user provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Provide strong hands-on expertise in configuring and administering Atlassian cloud products (JIRA, Service Management, Confluence).
- Perform security and IT administrative tasks related to auditing, access management, and user licensing.
- Respond to, and where appropriate, resolve or escalate security incidents and investigations.
- Assist with the secure and ethical implementation and operation of AI systems and data.
- Investigate, monitor, and review SOC and SIEM alerts and network traffic for suspicious activity.
- Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for security systems, services, and procedures to meet compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Administer and maintain endpoint protection, security, and data protection using technologies like EDR, MDM, SASE, DLP, DarkOps, and Brand protection services.
- Establish and document standardized processes for managing security and IT services, and create secure system configuration baselines.
- Assist with patching, updating, and vulnerability management to ensure system security and operational uptime.

In the United States, the starting base compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, and location.
