About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Cloud Ops team to lead the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, collaborating on workflow automations (crons, n8n, Airflow) bridging infrastructure and business processes.
• Manage operational processes including outage incident response, compliance adherence, sprint coordination, metric reporting, and technical documentation.
• Maintain and improve incident response tooling and monitoring across the full application stack.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with relevant security and regulatory standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure in GCP.
• Build automation to reduce toil and enable infrastructure self-healing during production incidents.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide support across cloud infrastructure and observability tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional, expert-level experience in cloud infrastructure engineering (preferably GCP).
• Deep experience with observability tools and practices (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, Java, or Go.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience collaborating with network and application security teams.
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Gemini) to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Collaboration experience with Data Engineering teams.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Chef).
• Prior experience working in a 24/7 on-call environment.
• Mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers on projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $185,000 - $200,000 USD
