About the Role

We are seeking a talented engineer to develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators for our Camunda 8 SaaS offering. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of our cloud platform, managing numerous customer clusters, and tackling complex challenges related to Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and multi-cloud deployments across GCP and AWS.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators to manage the Camunda SaaS offering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, field) to define, ship, and iterate on features that extend Camunda’s SaaS across clouds, enable multi-region deployments, and deliver enterprise-grade security.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing codebases for security, stability, and reliability.
• Advocate for new ideas and contribute to a positive engineering environment that values both creativity and practicality.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and 3rd-level escalation support to ensure system objectives are met.

What You Bring

• Ability and willingness to learn and use the Camunda product.
• Hands-on experience using Go or another relevant language for cloud-native software development.
• Practical experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of core Kubernetes concepts and hands-on experience managing clusters.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team, share knowledge, and nurture engineering culture.
• A pragmatic, autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving.
• A "you build it, you run it" mentality combined with a passion for automation and high quality.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience writing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators, ideally using Controller-Runtime & Kubebuilder.
• Familiarity with multi-region or multi-cloud infrastructure setups, ideally with Crossplane.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive, fair, and transparent location-based compensation. Salary ranges span from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market (Annual Total Target Cash):

• United States: $149,800.00 – $241,500.00 USD
• United Kingdom: £94,100.00 – £154,700.00 GBP
• Singapore: S$186,100.00 – S$279,100.00 SGD
• Canada: C$159,100.00 – C$261,600.00 CAD
• Other Locations: Hired via Remote.com with custom localized compensation details.
