Senior Customer Engineer - Nashville

About the Role

As a Senior Customer Engineer at Cloudflare, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, owning the technical relationship with enterprise customers from initial discovery through long-term adoption and expansion. You will operate as a quota-carrying technologist, leveraging AI-augmented workflows to focus on high-value architectural design and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and map customer business problems to Cloudflare solutions.
• Build strong technical relationships and identify champions within accounts.
• Lead technical discovery, bespoke architecture design, and product demonstrations (PoCs).
• Provide oversight for technical onboarding and implementation.
• Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to resolve integration bottlenecks.
• Drive account growth through strategic cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for C-level stakeholders.
• Evangelize Cloudflare at industry events and contribute to white papers and blog posts.
• Utilize AI agents to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and sandbox provisioning.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering).
• Technical Acumen: Deep expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial Mindset: Experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with a strong grasp of SaaS metrics.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to bridge the gap between deep technical implementation and C-suite business strategy.

Strongly Preferred

• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare’s developer platform (Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize).
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar for custom integration scripts and API connectors.
