About the Role

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to build and maintain the software that handles massive traffic across our global network. You will contribute to our microservices-based architecture, including UI and control plane development.

Key Responsibilities

• Ship and deliver projects over a 12-14 week period with autonomy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various engineering teams.
• Work closely with a dedicated mentor to guide your career goals.
• Participate in company socials, networking programs, and Employee Resource Groups.
• Present your final project to the company at the end of the internship.
• Engage in professional development workshops and contribute to the Cloudflare blog.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant field.
• Strong critical thinking skills and a drive to learn new technologies.
• Ability to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) 12-week internship.
• Available for one of the following terms: September 14 – December 4 or September 28 – December 18.
• Location: Must be able to work in-office 3-5 days a week in London, UK.

Tech Stack

We utilize a variety of technologies including TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Rust, C/C++, and Python.

Bonus Points

• Demonstrated passion for software development via personal projects or open-source contributions.
• Experience with our developer platform using Cloudflare for Students.
