About the role

Coalition partners with insurance and reinsurance carriers who delegate authority to Coalition to write standalone Cyber insurance, open market Cyber reinsurance, and a Professional Liability insurance package (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime). In this role, you will help Coalition manage these key strategic relationships with insurers/reinsurers, and broking partners that support those delegated authority relationships and structures. This role will also engage with and support Coalition’s balance sheet vehicles which include captives, sidecars, and full-stack (Admitted) insurance paper. You will be responsible for external engagement and managing day-to-day operations with these partners, including overseeing data sharing, audits, compliance with contractual obligations, and coordinating internal teams’ support (e.g., product development, carrier compliance and due diligence needs, tech enhancements geared towards carriers).

We are seeking a team-oriented individual with deep (re)insurance experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, high-growth environment like Coalition, but can “speak the language of”, build relationships with, and be the key point of contact for traditional carriers. Candidates should be able to operate with minimal oversight to drive execution across our capacity strategy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations with Coalition’s insurance and reinsurance carrier partners, including ensuring seamless communication and data sharing with external carrier partners and coordinating teams internally in support of carrier partner needs
• Support regular audits, due diligence and compliance requests with all carrier partners
• Facilitate the drafting and review of legal documents and contract wording with Coalition legal and carrier partners, and ensure compliance with carrier contracts and guidelines
• Engage with strategic broking partners that support capacity relationships
• Direct internal product development needs to support carrier partners

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of reinsurance experience, or relevant experience at an insurance carrier or MGA
• Strong organizational and project managing skills
• Operational experience or legal contract wording background a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (excellent communicator and collaborator)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Self-directed and self-motivated
