Senior Manager, Customer Marketing - CoderPad

CoderPad's mission is to create a more inclusive and strong tech community. How? By improving the technical interviewing experience with tools that allow for standardization and consistency, while reducing bias and increasing equality of opportunity.

As CoderPad's first customer marketer, you'll own the customer marketing plan and execute it hands-on. Your job is to turn our installed base into a predictable source of expansion pipeline and a deep bench of customer advocates.

You'll work across our whole book of mid-market and enterprise-sized customers, from self-serve customers ready to move up to Enterprise Plans to large accounts with room to grow, using scaled, one-to-many programs and opportunities to build 1:few programs as we scale. You'll partner with Expansion Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, Campaigns, and Demand Gen. This is a builder-and-doer role: you'll set the strategy and then build, launch, and measure your programs with the support of the team.

Note: This role is required to work East Coast Hours. You'll report to the VP of Marketing.

What you'll be doing:

Drive expansion pipeline

  • Own the self-serve-to-Enterprise upgrade marketing motion: Take our current pilot and scale what works into an always-on program while continuing to optimize.
  • Build expansion programs: Create one-to-many expansion programs for Enterprise customers in partnership with Expansion Sales, including cross-sell and upsell plays, targeted nurtures, and sales-ready offers.
  • Adapt major campaigns: Partner with Campaigns to adapt major campaigns and launches for customer audiences.
  • Enable sales: Give Expansion Sales the timing, messaging, and assets to act on signals from your programs.
  • Localize for EMEA: Adapt expansion and lifecycle programs for EMEA customers (about 15% of your effort).

Fuel adoption with Customer Success and Product Marketing

  • Build lifecycle programs: Support CS in getting customers to value through onboarding/feature-adoption emails, customer webinars, and launch communications.
  • Partner on feature adoption: Work with Product Marketing to turn new features into customer-facing campaigns.
  • Design lifecycle journeys: Build journeys in our marketing automation platform, working with Marketing Ops on complex builds and attribution.
  • Build data foundations: Partner with Marketing Ops and CS to establish customer segments and scoring.

Build our advocacy engine

  • Run advocacy programs: Provide speakers for events, case studies, customer references, and referrals.
  • Produce content: Write customer case studies and stories.
  • Drive review programs: Boost presence on G2 and similar review sites to strengthen competitive positioning.

Run customer events and our Customer Advisory Board

  • Launch a Customer Advisory Board: Bring customer insight into product, messaging, and strategy.
  • Plan events: Host customer-focused events and user groups.

How we'll measure success

  • Expansion pipeline (primary): Pipeline sourced and influenced by your programs, tracked separately for self-serve upgrades and Enterprise expansion.
  • Adoption impact (shared with CS and product marketing): Engagement with adoption programs and subsequent feature activation.
  • Advocacy: Case studies published, customer availability for thought leadership, and review volume/ratings.

What you should bring:

  • 6+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 3 years in customer, lifecycle, or expansion marketing.
  • A track record of owning an expansion pipeline or revenue number, not just engagement metrics.
  • Experience creating a customer marketing plan and executing it end-to-end hands-on.
  • Experience partnering with Ops and CS to build customer segments and scores.
  • Experience running advocacy programs: case studies, references, reviews, or advisory boards.
  • Credibility with sales and CS leaders, translating input into shipped programs.
  • Comfort with data, metrics, and attribution.
  • Strong writing skills and a feel for what resonates with customers.
