About the Team
The Retail Media team is building a platform connecting ecommerce retailers and brands. Retail media allows brands to buy placements within customer search, browse, recommendations, collections, or quiz results with advanced targeting, bidding, and analytics capabilities.
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to help us make data-driven product decisions, optimize customer and advertiser metrics, and scale the product. You will work in a cross-functional team across Backend, Frontend, and Data Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Research product hypotheses to optimize main platform metrics for retailers and advertisers (ROAS, Ad spend, Churn Rate, etc.).
- Work with PMs and Engineers to scope key insights and platform improvements.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical business partners to develop and update functionality.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Own business metrics and results for advertisers and retailers.
- Participate in late-stage sales processes and build demos for prospective customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in BI Tools: Demonstrated ability in data analysis and building dashboards for engineering and business audiences.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL (any variant) and exploratory data analysis with Python (
pandas,numpy, data visualization libraries). - Prototyping & Domain Expertise: Adept at fast prototyping and analytical support in the e-commerce space by identifying and focusing on relevant features and metrics.
- Communication: Excellent communicator capable of translating technical insights into business language and vice versa.
- Tech Stack: Spark SQL, Python (notebooks), Databricks, Redash/Metabase, PySpark.
- Nice to Have: AdTech industry experience and practical familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Presto/Athena, Hive).
