About the Role
Customer.io is looking for thoughtful, driven Engineering Managers to join our organization. Whether you are building customer-facing product workflows or maintaining reliable, observable distributed systems, we are looking for leaders who hold a high technical bar and drive work to completion.
What You Value
- Ownership: You set direction, create clarity in ambiguity, and are motivated by impact. You hold yourself and your team accountable to shipping.
- Strategic Leadership: You operate at the strategic level while staying close to technical work. You earn respect through both vision and execution.
- Execution: You have a proven ability to move work forward through resistance, competing priorities, and skeptical stakeholders.
- AI-First Mindset: You have a concrete point of view on AI-native development and use agentic tooling to accelerate team velocity.
- Pragmatism: You bring a healthy skepticism for "the way things are done," knowing when to build, buy, or wait.

- Drive execution by setting milestones and shipping in small, observable increments.
- Make confident decisions and lead your team through ambiguity.
