Agentic AI Engineer - Elastic

About the Role

Elastic is seeking an innovative Agentic AI Engineer to join our IT team. You will build autonomous, enterprise-grounded agents that go beyond simple chat to complete complex business tasks. You will leverage the full power of the Elastic Stack (ESRE, Agent Builder, Workflows) to provide the 'brain' and 'memory' for our agentic ecosystem, empowering our global workforce.

What You Will Be Doing

• Agentic Strategy & Design: Architect sophisticated workflows that use reasoning and tools to execute end-to-end business processes.
• Enterprise Grounding: Utilize RAG and the Elasticsearch Relevance Engine (ESRE) to ensure high-accuracy task completion.
• AI Model & Tool Integration: Develop and fine-tune LLMs, integrating them with internal APIs and third-party SaaS tools.
• Scalable Infrastructure: Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Terraform to support high-concurrency demands.
• DevOps & Lifecycle: Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and performance optimization.
• Security & Observability: Implement strict security controls (VPC, IAM, encryption) and comprehensive observability to monitor agent behavior and model drift.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert on the Elastic Stack and push the boundaries of AI-driven productivity.

What You Bring

• Proven success in delivering independent GenAI projects involving autonomous task completion.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, and LangSmith.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, IaC (Terraform), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of secure cloud architectures and network fundamentals.
• Experience with observability frameworks for monitoring non-deterministic multi-agent workflows.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
• Understanding of the enterprise agentic landscape (e.g., Copilot Studio, Agentforce).
• Commitment to Ethical AI and responsible development practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
