Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to accelerate results.
What is The Role
Elastic Security is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help build and grow Elastic XDR. You will own a core area of the XDR roadmap end to end, from requirements through shipped, iterated product, and contribute to the exposure and vulnerability capabilities now converging with it.
You will partner closely with Engineering and the Elastic Security Labs research team, working on a platform whose unified data model and deployment flexibility spans from cloud to on-premises to fully air-gapped environments.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own the XDR Roadmap: Drive detection, correlation, incident building, and response capabilities across endpoint, cloud, identity, and network.
- Expand Telemetry & Integrations: Maintain first-party Elastic data and third-party EDR, cloud, identity, and network sources.
- Vulnerability Management: Contribute to exposure and vulnerability management, prioritizing based on exploitability and reachability.
- Write Requirements: Deliver clear, actionable engineering requirements and translate threat research into product features.
- Customer Engagement: Represent the product in conversations with senior security stakeholders.
- Multi-Deployment Support: Ensure capabilities work across cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.
- Market Awareness: Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and GTM strategies.
- Asynchronous Visibility: Create roadmap trackers and decision memos to keep stakeholders aligned without meetings.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years in security-related technical product management, competitive analysis, or technical marketing, with 3+ years in a related product development or technical field.
- Domain Knowledge: Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, incident response, or forensics (as a PM or practitioner like a SOC analyst or detection engineer).
- Telemetry & Integrations: Comfort building products that rely on heterogeneous third-party data.
- Threat Understanding: Solid comprehension of analytics techniques behind detection and the current cyber threat landscape.
- Technical Credibility: Ability to write high-quality requirements and judge architectural feasibility.
- Customer-Facing Confidence: Comfortable representing the product to senior security stakeholders.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex concepts into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
- AI-Augmented Work: Regular use of AI tooling for synthesis, research, and delivery.
- Education: BS or MS degree in engineering, computer science, or information security is required.
