Okta Identity Engineer - Elastic

About the Role

Elastic is looking for an Okta Identity Engineer to join our IT team. You will serve as the subject matter expert for identity and access management (IAM), architecting, designing, and implementing scalable solutions to support our internal systems and partners.

Note: Candidates must currently reside in US Central Time.

What You Will Be Doing

• Architecture & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain Okta IAM solutions.
• Integrations: Integrate Okta with cloud/SaaS applications to streamline authentication and authorization.
• SSO & MFA: Develop and configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
• Automation: Build automation using Okta Workflows, REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON payloads.
• Security & Compliance: Perform system audits, monitor access patterns, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to Okta configurations and integrations.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and implement business-aligned solutions.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years specifically in Okta.
• Deep knowledge of Okta architecture, features, and integrations.
• Proficiency in authentication protocols (SAML 2.0, OAuth/SSO).
• Experience with IDaaS, user lifecycle operations, and federation.
• Hands-on experience with SCIM, JIT provisioning, and custom provisioning flows.
• Experience managing MFA factors (Okta Verify, FIDO, RSA, etc.).
• Proficiency in using Terraform for configuration management.
