Senior Software Engineer - EDR Workflows - Security

About the Role

The Security EDR Workflows team is responsible for building the core capabilities that power the Elastic Defend management experience. We focus on delivering policy configuration, management capabilities, and response actions (including OSquery forensics) for Elastic Defend and third-party providers. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build high-scale workflows and user-facing features that protect against security threats globally.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and implement features that power Elastic Defend user interface capabilities.
• Build and evolve APIs to interact with Elastic Defend data.
• Contribute to the architecture of management and response action frameworks, including OSquery forensics.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Own the reliability, observability, and operational health of features from design to production.
• Write production-grade code in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and design teams.
• Improve engineering standards and tooling, leveraging AI to supercharge development.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design decisions.

What You Bring

• Solid programming experience in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js.
• Ability to take ownership of problems end-to-end: from requirements to production monitoring.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse stakeholders.
