Senior Software Engineer - SSC

About the Role

Elastic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our self-service cloud growth team. You will play a pivotal role in empowering self-service customers and trial users, focusing specifically on human and agent onboarding to drive the growth of Elastic Cloud.

What You Will Be Doing

• Full Stack Development: Contribute to both backend and frontend product onboarding and trial experiences.
• Feature Design: Design and implement scalable features and APIs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with PMs and designers to plan and execute features.
• Agentic Interfaces: Implement agentic interfaces for onboarding and trial flows.
• Integration: Collaborate with solution teams to integrate cloud and Kibana onboarding flows.
• Data Strategy: Design and implement data evolution strategies to manage schema changes without breaking existing functionality.

What You Bring

• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js server frameworks (e.g., Hapi, Next.js).
• Expertise in frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, responsive design).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Experience deploying and operationalizing software in production.
• Ability to lead projects independently from design to implementation.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-player mindset.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Java, Kibana, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with state management libraries like NgRx.
