Senior Software Engineer - Streams - Observability

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables organizations to find answers in real time using all their data at scale. The Elastic Search AI Platform brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to accelerate critical results across search, security, and observability.

About the Role

The Observability Streams team at Elastic builds Elastic's unified data pipeline—the layer connecting data sources to their destinations with complete control over processing and routing. Whether collecting metrics from cloud accounts, shipping logs from agents, or routing traces, Streams ties everything together.

The Streams Backend team develops the backend services powering this pipeline to ensure data is routed, processed, and delivered reliably at scale. We also maintain Logstash, the open-source streaming ETL engine in the ELK stack, and contribute actively to the OpenTelemetry Collector.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Streams Backend team, you will help drive the design and development of core backend services and Logstash, contribute to OpenTelemetry, and support enterprise customers.
