Senior VDI/VPN (Network Engineer) - Elastic

About the Role

Elastic is looking for a Senior Network Engineer (VPN/VDI) to design, deploy, and manage our multi-cloud network and VDI infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to drive automation and implement Zero Trust security, ensuring our systems remain reliable and scalable.

What You Will Be Doing

• Network Architecture: Design robust multi-cloud network architectures, create detailed documentation, and optimize routing protocols. Maintain Meraki networks for performance and scalability.
• Infrastructure Support: Deploy and support VPN and VDI solutions. Facilitate training for junior staff and provide on-call support for network services.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor network metrics, analyze traffic patterns, and perform tuning to enhance efficiency.
• Security: Implement Zero Trust principles, conduct vulnerability scans, and manage network security tools to respond to incidents.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex connectivity issues within VPN/VDI environments, ensuring all tickets are documented.
• Documentation: Maintain architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and a knowledge base of best practices.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of network engineering experience in a multi-cloud environment.
• 3+ years of experience with VPN and VDI technologies.
• Proficiency in multi-cloud network architecture and Meraki network management.
• Experience maintaining Aviatrix.
• Skilled in security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and Zero Trust implementation.
• Strong diagnostic skills for VPN/VDI connectivity and performance tuning.
