About the Role

The Security EDR Workflows team is responsible for building core capabilities that power the Elastic Defend management experience. You will focus on delivering policy configuration, management capabilities, and response actions (including forensics via OSquery). As a Software Engineer, you will build workflows and user-facing features that enable security practitioners to protect against and respond to threats.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Implement features that power the Elastic Defend user interface.
  • Contribute to the architecture of the Elastic Defend management and response actions framework.
  • Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
  • Write production-grade code in TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and design teams.
  • Improve engineering standards and team processes, leveraging AI to supercharge development.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a globally distributed team.

What You Bring

  • Basic knowledge of Node.js and React.js (TypeScript is a plus).
  • An AI-powered development mindset; you use AI to solve complex problems and ramp up quickly.
  • A collaborative spirit; comfortable giving and receiving feedback asynchronously across time zones.
  • An initiative-taking mindset: you ask the right questions and look for ways to improve products and processes.

Bonus Points

  • Experience contributing to or developing open-source projects.
  • Knowledge of the Elastic stack and solutions.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and forensics.
