Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Elastic

About the Role

Elastic is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to act as a strategic liaison between IT and our Services and Education organizations. You will drive scalable solutions, optimizing the business architecture that supports our Professional Services Automation (PSA) lifecycle.

Leveraging your expertise in Salesforce and Certinia (FKA FinancialForce), you will collaborate with leadership and end-users to translate complex business needs into precise, data-driven requirements and technology roadmaps.

What You Will Be Doing

• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary expert for Certinia PSA, managing core features and related integrations.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with business partners to establish a foundation for ongoing collaboration.
• Requirements & Design: Translate business needs into functional requirements, owning feature design, documentation, and end-user testing.
• Process Optimization: Partner with Strategic Operations to optimize PSA workflows, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• System Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including configuration, data mapping, functional designs, and test cases.
• Quality Assurance: Execute functional testing and collaborate with technical teams to resolve defects and ensure software quality.
• Strategic Planning: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve user experience through automation.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis & design on the Salesforce platform.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Certinia (FKA FinancialForce) PSA.
• Proven experience supporting Services organizations with delivery, enablement, and process optimization.
• Expertise in PSA capabilities: Project Management, Resource Management, Time & Expense, Billing, and Revenue Recognition.
• Familiarity with CPQ and Quote-to-Cash processes and their integration into PSA project structures.
• Experience with boundary system integrations (e.g., NetSuite ERP).
• Strong understanding of QA/UAT processes and the ability to define clear acceptance criteria.
